If brochure
is nothing more than paper and ink, why do some brochures work and
others end up as scrap paper? There are many reasons, but the most
significant one is simply a lack of foresight and planning. When
you plan ahead, your brochures will work for you, and you’ll
have to get your scrap paper somewhere else.
What are you
trying to say to the audience of your brochure? Some brochures deliver
the message "We’re the best value", or "We're
the best quality", or unfortunately in some cases, "We
don’t know what we’re doing".
Capture Design look at brochures as a form
of visual communication inviting people to interact with us. The
hotel wants to show how they address their customer's real or perceived
needs, help them to visualise their stay, see themselves using the
facilities, and in general make them lok forward to visiting - all
for only a modest nighly rate.
Maybe you don't
know where to start in planning a brochure, but if you know what
you like when you see/read it you're half way there. A good idea
is to collect brochures that you like and then, when it comes to
explaining what you want, you have something to offer as a guide.
What next? Leave the rest to us!
Before you get into the nuts-and-bolts of constructing
your brochure, there are several decisions that need to be made
concerning it's direction and content.
Logo and Stationery Design
Your stationery design is the application of your logo onto your
corporate documents. You may already have this, or you may be starting
from scrath. Either way, In8 can help you create attractive stationery
layouts.
So, what is a logo?
Simply put, a logo is a name, symbol, or trademark of a company
or organization. Logos can be made up of text that is configured
in a unique way. Your logo can be an illustration with your company's
name on or around the illustration. Or your logo can be a symbol.
A logo may also be a combination of these, but its goal is always
to project the company's intended image.
Why should you use a logo?
One reason is that people process an image in their mind more readily
than words alone. A logo serves as the visual stimulation to kickstart
the audience's memory, leaving a greater and lengthier impact than
words alone can do. It is the simplest and most direct way in promoting
a business presence; it's a "what we're about" statement
without the long-winded speech.
Logos give brand name recognition and add visual appeal to any document
or web page. Because your logo is a unique graphic image, your visitors'
eyes will naturally be drawn to it both on the web and on your printed
materials.
